Brief Intro

Bharat Jadhav is a popular Marathi comedian actor, who has acted in many Marathi movies and plays. Bharat’s ‘Sahi re Sahi’ is one of the most successful Marathi plays in the history on Marathi natyabhumi.

 

Early Life & Background

Bharat Jadhav is born in 1973 in a lower middle class family of Parel. His dad was the simple mill worker.

 

First assignment/ First major break

Bharat began his acting career in 1985 by joining Maharashtrachi Lokdhara Dance Troupe, However, he came into limelight after his outstanding performance in the comedy play ‘Sahi Re Sahi’ which is still running successfully all over the Maharashtra.

 

Journey in the Industry

Bharat is famous for his comedy roles in many Marathi movies and dramas. He is working in Marathi industry for over 27years and has acted in more than 85 Marathi films.

Bharat started his career as a stage actor after joining a dance troupe Maharashtrachi Lokdhara dance troupe, under the guidance of Sahir Sable. His play ‘Sahi re Sahi’ is one of the most successful Marathi plays ever. He also played the lead role in the sequel of the play ‘Punha Sahi Re Sahi’. His role from the superhit Marathi play ‘All The Best’ became very popular. He has also acted in the plays like ‘Shreemant Damodar Pant’, ‘Timepass’, ‘Chal Love Kar’ and ‘Adhantar’. He has completed more than 8,500 shows of various plays till date.

Bharat has also acted in eight television shows including comedy shows like ‘Hasa Chakat Fu’ and ‘Saheb Biwi Ani Me’ for Zee Marathi. Bharat has acted in Mahesh Manjreker’s Bollywood movies like ‘Vaastav :The Reality’ in 1999 and ‘Pran Jaaye Par Shaan Na Jaaye’ in 2003.

In 2000, Bharat played the role of Laxmikant Berde’s assistant in the movie ‘Khatarnak’. In 2004, he played the lead role in the comedy movies like ‘Nawryachi Kammal Baaykochi Dhamaal’ and ‘House Full’. In 2005, he gave three blockbuster hits named ‘Sarivar Sari’, ‘Pachadlela’ & ‘Khabardar’. In the movie ‘Sarivar Sari’, he acted along with Madhura Velankar, Neena Kulkarni, Shreyas Talpade and Mohan Joshi. Then he played the role of Bharat in Mahesh Kothare’s blockbuster horror comedy film ‘Pachadlela’. And in the thriller comedy movie ‘Khabardar’, he played the role of press reporter name Bharat. In 2006, he gave comedy hits like ‘Chalu Navara Bholi Bayako’, ‘Maza Navara Tuzi Bayako’ and ‘Jatra’. In the movie ‘Jatra’ he played the double role of Monya and Ghumya. The movie was directed by Kedar Shinde and the song ‘Kombdi Palali’ from the movie became one of the major hit in the country.

In 2007, Bharat played the role of Sarpanch Ghotale in the movie ‘Bakula Namdeo Ghotale’. In the same year, he played the role of Bharat Fakdu Kamble in the movie ‘Mukkam Post London’. He portrayed the role of Dabbewala name Nama in the movie ‘Mumbaicha Dabewala’. In 2008, he gave another comedy hit ‘Galgale Nighale’. In 2009, he did the cameo in Mahesh Manjrekar’s blockbuster movie ‘Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy’. In 2010, he acted in eight Marathi movies and almost all were super-hit on the box-office. He also played the role of strict father Madhukar Rane in the movie ‘Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho’. In the same year, he acted in the multi-starrer romantic comedy movie ‘Kshanbhar Vishranti’.

In 2011, he acted in the multi-starrer Marathi action film ‘Fakta Ladh Mhana’ in a role of Tukaram. The movie also featured Sachin Khedekar, Sanjay Narvekar, Siddharth Jadhav, Aniket Vishwasrao, Vaibhav Mangle, Santosh Juvekar and Kranti Redkar.  He played the role of Bhat Saheb in the movie ‘Mast Challay Amacha’ in the same year. In 2012, he acted in the comedy movie ‘Yedyanchi Jatra’ as Haarya and then in ‘Shrimant Damodar Pant’ as Damodar. Later, he acted in the multi-starrer comedy Marathi movie ‘No Entry Pudhe Dhoka Ahe’ in a role of Kishan. The movie was a remake of Bollywood movie ‘No Entry’ and the original role of Kishan were portrayed by Anil Kapoor. In 2013, he acted in the Marathi movies like ‘Beed Cha Raaja’ and ‘Sat Na Gat’.

Bharat Jadhav released his official website on 11 April 2010, which was launched in the presence of Raj Thackeray in Dadar. BizCAT Entertainment Australia will be taking all the steps to make Bharat Jadhav as a Global Icon of the Marathi Film Industry, and name him as a ‘Maharashtra Cha Sahi Nayak’.

 

Personal life

Bharat Jadhav is a married man and has got two children, one son & daughter. Bharat now lives in Wadala, Mumbai.
