Marathi Ambassadors for Swachh Abhiyan in Maharashtra



As we all know that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is spreading the message of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ in India. Modi launched this campaign on 2nd October 2014 on Gandhi Jayanti at New Delhi. Many celebrities & popular personalities joined Modi in this campaign.

Now the Governor of Maharashtra C.V. Rao is launching the same campaign in Maharashtra and for this he has selected 9 people from different category as a Maharashtra Ambassadors of ‘Clean India’. Among the 9 ambassadors, three ambassadors are Maharashtrians. Marathi comedian & superstar Makarand Anaspure and Indian female shooter Anjali Bhagwat are the two of the nine people in the list. While, the victim of Railway accident Monica More who lost her hands is also included in the list to inspire people.

Our Governor C.V.Rao said “Maharashtra has made pioneering efforts in the cleanliness campaign in the form of Sant Gadgebaba Abhiyan. We have to give a major impetus to the campaign under the leadership of the Prime Minister”.  Other people who are selected as a brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Maharashtra are Neeta Ambani,  Abhishek Bachchan , Tushar Gandhi (Grandson of Mahatma Gandhi), Social Reformer Dattatray Narayan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rajashree Birla.
