Poorva Gokhale is a Hindi and Marathi television actress. She is best known for her role as Gunn from Star Plus’s popular show ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’.
Early Life & Background
Poorva was born as Poorva Gupte on 22nd November 1976 in Mumbai. She did her schooling from Thane and college from Mumbai. She used to work as an aerobics instructor in Talwalkar Gym in Thane, before entering the field of acting.
First assignment/ First major break
Poorva debuted in the Marathi serial ‘Rhimjhim’ in 1999. She became popular after her Hindi serial ‘Koi Dil Mein Hai’.
Journey in the industry
Poorva started her acting career by making a debut in the Marathi serial ‘Rhimjhim’ in 1999, which used to air on Alpha Marathi (now known as Zee Marathi). Later, she worked in Marathi serials like ‘Tharaar’ and ‘Bhagyavidhata’. Poorva was working for ‘Bhagyavidhata’ even during her pregnancy period and later continued it even after giving birth to her first daughter. She also acted in Zee Marathi’s serial ‘Kulvadhu’ opposite Subodh Bhave. Poorva had also done a Marathi stage play ‘Smile Please’.
Poorva in her teenage, starred in Balaji Telefilms’s serial ‘Koi Dil Mein Hai’, which used to air on Sony TV. Poorva played the role of a traditional girl, along with Karishma Tana, Hiten Tejwani and Eijaz Khan. Later, she grabbed another Balaji’s show ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’. She played the role of Gunn, wife of Krishna Agarwal in this show.
Poorva is married to her childhood sweetheart Kedar Gokhale. The couple has two daughters.
